Required Documents for LLP (Limited Liability Partnership)

Registration LLP or LIMITED LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP Registration in which at least two designated partners. Partners have DPIN (Designated Partner Identification Number) is mandatory to form a partnership. There are a minimum of two partners required in registration LLP & no limit to the maximum number of partners. There are a lesser number of regulations applicable to the LLP as compared to the Company. It’s a wide term of Partnership & has been identified as a separate legal entity.

Therefore LLP registration is called a hybrid between a company and a partnership. The liability of the Partners is limited to their contribution. Registration LLP can continue its existence irrespective of changes in partners. The rights and duties of the partners are governed by an agreement between the partners or between the partners and the registered LLP as the case may be. Required Documents for Registration LLP (Limited Liability Partnership)

  1. ID, Address proof of the Designated partner for LLP registration: which can include an Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, PAN card, or any other document provided by the government.
  2. DPIN of the Designated Partner for registration LLP: Designated Partner Identification Number (DPIN) is a registration required for any person who wishes to be appointed as a Designated Partner of a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). It is similar to DIN for company registration.
  3. ID & Address proof of the partner which can include an Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, PAN card, or any other document provided by the government.
  4. DSC of the Designated partner for registration LLP: Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is a secure and authentic way to submit a document electronically. The Designated Partner need to have DSC which authenticates documents on their behalf and acts as a signature for them.
  5. The name of the LLP is the most important factor that needs to be decided which is subject to availability, there are a lot of terms & conditions that apply for this as the Name of the LLP should be unique and should not include any Trademark or copywriting words.
  6. The object of the LLP defines the LLPs’ working and what can be under the registered LLP.
  7. Proof of registered office of the LLP can be an electricity bill, water bill, MCD bill, or any document provided by a Gazetted office that can authenticate the address of the LLP.
  8. The contribution of the LLP is related to the amount which Designated Partners will be investing in the LLP. Minimum capital is needed to start any LLP which depends from case to case.
  9. Email ID & mobile number of Designated partner & LLP is also mandatory details needed at the time of registration as those will be used to authenticate & verify the identification of each.
